MORE than 400 pupils, teachers and parents attended the launch of a learning scheme.
Out of School Hours Learning, often called study support, aims to improve young people's motivation, and help them become more effective learners.
The City of Sunderland's education and community services department unveiled the programme at Sunderland University.
Twelve youngsters who entered a competition to find a name and logo for study support, were presented with prizes.
The winner, Schoolz Out, was designed by Lauren Sutcliffe, ten, from Diamond Hall Junior School, in Sunderland.
