SCOUTS are appealing for more help with their new campsite.
The Scouts, from Redcar, asked for assistance in The Northern Echo and its sister paper, The Clarion, for equipment to set up the campsite at Ingleby Greenhow, near Stokesley, North Yorkshire.
Unfortunately, they cannot access their campsite as the area is closed because of foot-and-mouth restrictions.
The response to the campaign has been so good that the Scouts have accumulated more items than they can store.
The group is now appealing for anyone in the area who can spare garage or warehouse space to house some of the equipment until the campsite opens again.
David Raine, from Redcar and District Scouts, said: "The Scouts have been inundated with offers of help, but we are now appealing to any business in the area with some spare space to let us use it until the foot-and-mouth situation is resolved."
Anyone who is able to help should call Mr Raine on (01642) 484051, or Alan Blunt on (01642) 483446.
