A HUGE Easter egg was the centre of attention in a charity raffle draw. The egg, more than 3ft high, was raffled at Darlington's Imperial Express Caf. Proceeds from the draw, which raised more than £534, are to go to the Starbright charity. It supports youngsters with cancer who receive treatment at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle and Leeds's St James Hospital. The idea for the raffle came from Martin Streich, who bought the Italian style egg. Mr Streich, who runs the HDC joinery business, in Darlington, is a regular at the Imperial Express. The winner was Gloria Townsend, of Darlington. Heidi Lunde, left, and Pamela Anderson are pictured drawing the winning number.
