HARTLEPOOL United are feeling the pressure of their play-off assault after going down to a 1-0 home defeat to rivals Hull at Victoria Park.

A week after losing for the first time in 22 games, Pool again suffered a reverse and they now go to play-off rivals Leyton Orient - who moved level on points with Pool after winning at Barnet - on Monday for a game they cannot afford to lose.

Kevin Henderson had a couple of early chances for Pool but Brian Little's side took the lead inthe second half when keeper Anthony Williams lost out in a 50-50 challenge to John Eyre and the striker turned the ball into the empty net.

Mark Tinkler saw a shot hacked off the line and returning defender Graeme Lee crashed a header against the bar, but Pool could not claw back the deficit.
