A COUNCIL is asking people to help make history by taking part in an Internet project.
Ideas are being invited from community groups, organisations and societies in Gateshead, who would like to take part in the project.
The Tomorrow's History project aims to produce a local heritage resource for the North-East on the Internet.
It will include material from libraries, museums and archives across the region.
Grants are being made available for groups to produce up to eight local heritage projects during the year.
These could range from a small local history day, to a more long-term project.
Anyone who would like more information is asked to telephone Gateshead Borough Council's central library, on 0191-477 3478.
