A FOUR-DAY festival of gardening superstitions took place during the Easter holiday in Middlesbrough.
The festival at Nature's World aimed to introduce people to various gardening myths by taking them on a walk.
Visitors were given a list of 101 myths, including planting apple trees by moonlight to guarantee a good crop, and forecasting bad weather by seeing a cat up a tree.
Folk music was provided to entertain visitors and there were also demonstrations of scarecrow making and recycling.
