A BUSINESSMAN is making a clean sweep for charity by turning his firm into a fundraising scheme.
Alex McKinley, of ABM Cleaning Services, has introduced a bin cleaning service to Hartlepool and Teesside following the introduction of wheelie bins in the area.
Mr McKinley is a supporter of Hartlepool and District Hospice and is offering a donation to the hospice for every bin, drive, patio, conservatory and wall that his firm cleans.
He said: "Cleanliness is of the utmost importance. Bins must be cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis, and failure to do this will result in smelly bins and bacteria growth.
"The initial idea to help my local hospice was suggested to me by one of my regular customers."
Mr McKinley is offering ten per cent from all drives, patios, paths, conservatories and walls to the hospice and £1 from every £1.99 wheelie bin clean or £2 for commercial bins.
