RESIDENTS are being invited to have their say on proposals that will change the way their local authority operates.
A spokesman for Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council said they had already received a good response to a leaflet, which sets out three possible options for the future running of the authority.
But he said there had been some "distribution difficulties" with the leaflet, and the deadline for returning responses had been extended until Wednesday, so everyone could voice their opinion.
The leaflet sets out three options councils can adopt.
These are an elected mayor working with a cabinet of councillors, an elected mayor working with a paid council manager, and a council leader and council cabinet.
Councillor Dave McLuckie, chairman of the council's political structures working party, said it was vital that the community had an input.
