A RELIGIOUS exhibition has proved so popular that it will run for another week.

The Catholic Heritage Exhibition, on show at St Clare's Church, Brookfield, Middlesbrough, is being retained due to a tremendous response from those attending.

Parish priest, Canon Eddie Gubbins, said: "We are delighted by the attendance so far, and the reaction of visitors to the hundreds of photographs, memorabilia and artefacts on display. It is our wish that anybody who wants to see the exhibition has the opportunity to do so."

Cannon Gubbins said that as well as local visitors, people had come from as far as Hull, Scarborough, Thirsk and Durham. He said such a wide ranging exhibition was unlikely to be assembled again.

Anyone wishing to view it can do so between 10am and 9pm daily, at a cost of £1 for adults and young people over 16
