A WOMAN died after snorting heroin at her boyfriend's flat, an inquest was told.
Marianne Keenan, 26, had smoked several cannabis cigarettes with boyfriend Gary Foley, 28, before he went to bed.
He told police he found her dead on the sofa of his flat in Edinburgh, the next day.
Pathologist Dr Anthony Busuttil said that the cause of death was due to chronic drug abuse and epilepsy.
There were no needle marks on her body, but heroin could be taken by snorting through the nose, he said.
Michael Sheffield, Coroner for Central Teesside, recorded an open verdict on Miss Keenan, an unemployed shop assistant from Redcar. She was identified by her mother Linda Keenan, of Micklow Close, Redcar
