Coxhoe Boys

The meeting with Parkside (Seaham) tonight at Coxhoe Sports Complex (6.15 pm) will go a long way to deciding the Under-12 section of the Russell Foster Tyne and Wear Youth League. This is the first league meeting between the two sides this season with the return still be arranged.

Byers Green

all other games were postponed on Saturday due to waterlogged pitches. The Under-10s Haze team played in the League Cup, semi-final on Thursday week and came out victorious to set up a cup final date with close rivals City of Durham Bees.

Byers defeated Belford House 1-0, Ethan Rivers on target with a cool finish after some great work between Reece Ellis and Richard Suddes. After the goal Byers concentrated on keeping things tight and denied Belford any real opportunities to equalise.

Haze also played a rearranged league game with City of Durham Wasps, drawing 0-0 despite dominating for most of the game with DJ Simpson being the pick of Byers' attacking players with at least five or six shots on target. Ellis, Daniel Russell, Suddes, Adam Peart and Rivers were also all denied by an inspired Wasps goalkeeper who was undoubtably man of the match
