A DANCE academy is celebrating trophy success while setting its sights on its next national competition.
Dancers from Dianne White's Academy of Dance, in Shildon, have returned from a national competition in Blackpool with two third places.
Bethany Rushby came home with a rosette for ballroom and Latin in the six-to-eight years classes while Adam Rollo's dancing talents netted him a third place in the under-12 boys' Latin American.
Dianne White, 36, who runs the school, said the success came hot on the heels of victory in the Medallist of the Year competition for old time and modern sequence, at Ferryhill.
She said: "We competed against four schools in the Tyne Tees area and won 72 medals. I am extremely proud of them all. They work really hard and always perform well on the day."
Her 18-month-old daughter Yazmyn, is following in her mother's footsteps as the school's youngest dancer. The oldest student is 65.
