PARTS of a Local District Plan dealing with green belt land and housing are to be aired.
Chester-le-Street District Council is holding a meeting of the executive committee today to discuss the plan.
A report from the council's planning services manager, Tom Watson, will focus on the future development of the district.
Among many recommendations made by the planning inspector, it suggests turning land at Drum Industrial Estate to the south of the A693 into green belt.
It also examines land to the south and east of Chester-le-Street, cycle paths near the Stella Gill Industrial Estate, and the possibility of extending the North Durham green belt.
