A NEW sculpture will be arriving at a Newton Aycliffe school tomorrow.
The stone carved sculpture, created by artists Dave Paton and Colin Wilbourne, and called The Winds of Change, will be sited in front of Greenfield Community and Arts Centre.
The huge pieces of Dunhouse stone will be transported from Herrington Colliery, Penshaw, and lowered into position by a crane.
The pieces will then be set on foundations and allowed to settle before landscaping work is carried out.
Later in the year there will be an official unveiling ceremony to celebrate the public art commissioned by Greenfield.
There include Building on and Building Up, the blue steel sculpture and a tiled floor mosaic.
Future commissions will include a bicycle storage area.
