POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a bag snatch that left the victim badly shaken.
The incident happened at 6.10pm on Monday, in the car -park of the Asda store in Portrack Lane, Stockton.
A 40-year-old woman was pushing a shopping trolley towards her car when a white Ford Fiesta drove towards her. A passenger reached out of his window and grabbed her bag.
The passenger was described as aged between 16 and 18, unshaven, with a dark olive Mediterranean complexion and short dark wavy hair. It is believed the driver was male.
The bag was in a black leather patchwork-effect style. The contents included a purse containing £30 cash, bank cards and personal items.
PC Carolyn Rowland of Stockton police said: "This was a particularly nasty incident."
