VOLUNTEERS who have made a real difference to the Crook community are being sought by Kathleen Halton, of Crook Community Partnership.
She said: "I'd like to ask the people in Crook to nominate volunteers who they feel provide an outstanding service in the community."
She and David Heppell are organising a volunteers award evening at Crook Town AFC's social club on June 2, as part of National Volunteer Week.
Hays Travel and Lloyds TSB in Crook are sponsoring the event, which will include a presentation of plaques to those deemed to have made an oustanding contribution.
The deadline is May 20 for nominations, which should include the name and contact address of the volunteer, what help they provide, and where.
Details should be sent to Signposts, 67 Hope Street, Crook, or 35 Albert Street, Crook. For details call (01388) 763704 or 07759 151349
