YOUNGSTERS have been doing their bit for National Environment Week by picking up litter.
Parkside Infant School worked with Seaham Town Council and the Rotary Club of Seaham on an anti-litter exercise, in Parkside Neighbourhood Park.
The annual event helps educate young people about the problems caused by dropping litter in public places.
Ashley Thompson, president of the Rotary Club of Seaham, said: "I am pleased to participate in this important community exercise to help educate young people of the problems of dropping litter in public places."
