The resignation of Boosbeck Melbourne Tyres so late in the season has meant that all their results have had to be removed from the league table leaving Dormans FC and B and H Kings Head neck and neck with 42 points each.
Dormans moved top when they followed up their 2-1 win over Onyx in midweek with the 12-0 demolition of the Huntsman. They needed the help of a late penalty to secure the points against Onyx after trailing for much of the first-half but there was no danger of repeat against the Huntsman as they raced into a 6-0 interval lead with a repeat performance in the second period.
Jim McGowan led the way with a hat-trick in each half while Dean Farley and Darren Rothwell chipped in with two goals apiece. Kevin Gibson and Craig Owens were also on the scoresheet for Dormans. Sadly for the Huntsman, the loss of Boosbeck also means that their solitary point has also been deleted from the table.
B and King's Head meanwhile stayed in contention for league honours with a 4-1 win over Tanfield Bros. Brian Crawley headed home twice to give King's Head an excellent start. Shortly before the interval Crawley increased their lead still further by completing his hat-trick direct from a free kick.
Paul Round added a fourth on the hour and it was not until ten minutes from time that Tanfield broke through to register their only goal of the game.
Ennis Square wasted no time in their game away to Middlesbrough Post Office, scoring twice inside the opening five minutes. Despite Post Office going close on a number of occasions, Ennis added a third goal as a result of poor defending early in the second half before Post Office were rewarded for their efforts when Paul Leonard headed Richie Wiberg's corner on for Paul Newham to fire home.
Stokesley fell behind after 15 minutes of their home game with Woodman's Arms. However, with a spirited display, they bounced back taking a share of the points in a 1-1 draw after Michael Bulmer raced through to score with 20 minutes remaining. The Redcar derby between Coke Ovens and Teesside Athletic also ended all-square with Athletic having to fight back from being a goal behind in both halves. Chris Ellis levelled the scores on the half hour and after a defensive mix up led to Coke Ovens regaining the lead from a corner in the second half, it was Ellis who made it 2-2 going through one on one with the keeper.
