FINAL acts: Cliffe Theatre is to represent the region at the North-East final in North Ferriby, near Hull, tomorrow. The appearance follows the group's success last September, when its production of In Room Five Hundred and Four, written by Jimmie Chinn and directed by Jenny Crooks, won the Sedgefield one act play festival.

Players wanted: Leven AFC are inviting interest from any footballers aged six to 15 years to strengthen existing teams and to create new squads in the younger age groups.
The six to nine age group will be coached within Leven's new soccer school set up after achieving the Football Associations Charter Mark of Qual-ity accreditation.
Interest is also encouraged from girls to form a girls' section, and women interested in running the teams.
There are opportunities for new coaches and for parents to become involved.

Have a go: Various sports were on offer at a recent Have a go discovery day, organised by Worsall village hall comm-ittee. Barry Vernon, sports in-structor from Kirklevington Grange prison, supplied equip-ment and helped with many of the activities.
