A PUB is looking for brave volunteers to take part in a sponsored firewalking event.
It will be hosted by The Oaklands pub, in Peterlee. Those taking part will be invited to walk over glowing wood embers to raise money for The Clarke Lister Appeal.
The appeal was set up in memory of Clarke Lister, from Peterlee, who died, aged ten, of a brain haemorrhage, in 1996.
The event will take place on Monday, May 7, and there will be a two-hour training session about how to harness the power of positive thinking.
Local companies and teams, as well as individuals, are invited to join in what promises to be an exciting day.
Anyone who raises £500 and takes it along on the day will receive a free trip to Florida.
People who raise £200 will receive a meal for two at the pub, a bottle of wine and a T-shirt. For details, contact Mark Turner on 0191-518 0330.
