DAREDEVILS are being asked to volunteer for an extreme fundraising event only held once before in the region.
The National Kidney Research Fund is looking for people interested in enjoying SCAD diving, which involves throwing yourself off a platform 90ft in the air.
The event will be held in Hartlepool on Sunday, June 24.
A crane will take volunteers 150ft into the air to a cage. One at a time the volunteers will be suspended below the cage before flinging themselves 90ft down to a net.
The SCAD dive is a total free fall with volunteers only wearing a harness to ensure they land safely.
Those taking part will be asked to raise a minimum of £100 for National Kidney Research.
Anyone who would like to take part in the event at the Travellers Rest Inn should call (01642) 491411 to register.
