PERFORMING art students at a Guisborough school enjoyed an action-packed final week of the spring term.
A full audience enjoyed a varied musical evening provided by the Laurence Jackson School's orchestra, choir, wind band and several ensembles. A particular feature of the evening was the performance of a number of pieces composed by year 11 pupils as part of their GCSE course.
More than 120 pupils took part in the concert, which was arranged and directed by music teachers Marjorie Oxley and Christopher Wilson.
Later in the week, the school's year ten GCSE drama pupils presented an evening of Shakespeare. The youngsters, many of whom were appearing in public for the first time, gave their audience an atmospheric studio production of excerpts from ten of Shakespeare's plays.
