OUR school opted to take part in Red Nose Day and I decided that I was going to try to be silent for the whole day.
I am a chatterbox, so my parents thought that I could not do it.
They even offered me £100 to keep quiet.
I woke up on the morning, and my mum had prepared a sign pad saying "Sponsored Silence, a pen and a writing pad, and a big sticking plaster to go over my mouth.
I got a bit worked up at school because I looked silly and I could not talk to anyone. It was very hard not being able to talk, but I knew that it was for a good cause, so I kept quiet.
Even when I went home and then out to Brownies, I still had to keep quiet.
It was really hard and at the end of the day I was really tired. But the best bit was all the money that I raised.
My dad used the Internet to get all his friends to sponsor me, so I raised £213.40 just for keeping quiet.
The school raised a lot of money as well, and we sent a cheque for more than £600 to Comic Relief to help other children.
