A FOOTBALL fan exposed himself to a female police officer as she filmed football crowds during a pitch invasion, a court heard.
The incident occurred during Bishop Auckland's FA Trophy clash with Burton Albion on Saturday January 13, when fans left a trail of destruction through the Staffordshire town.
Prosecutor Geoff Gibson told the court that married father-of-two Matthew Moffat, who was in the stand, unzipped his trousers and exposed himself to PC Heather Parker as she filmed the crowd during the troubles.
Moffat, 45, from Etherley Lane, Bishop Auckland, admitted indecent exposure with intent to insult a female at Burton Magistrates' Court yesterday.
He gave no explanation for his actions and did not have any legal representation.
Magistrates ordered him to pay a £180 fine and £55 costs.
About 100 hooligans rampaged through Burton before the match, causing £1,200 worth of damage to one pub and attacking a shop.
Once inside the ground, they invaded the pitch twice and 45 officers had to be drafted to the ground to force fans back to the stands.
