POLICE have repeated a warning for people to keep their doors locked when they are in their homes after a 78-year-old man was robbed.
The man was asleep in his Park Avenue house in Hartlepool when an intruder entered.
The man woke up and challenged the intruder who said he wanted to buy the man's car.
The intruder took a £460 Fuji camera and fled.
The man is described as in his late 20s with short dark hair. He was wearing a red Nike jacket with white wording on the back.
Detective Sergeant Tony Green of Hartlepool police said: "Doors should always be kept locked especially if you are moving around the house and garden or sleeping."
