volunteers who give up their time to help out at the annual Richmond Meet will be easier to spot in future.
The organisation's Black Hand Gang now have high-quality polo shirts, each embroidered with their name, thanks to landlady at The Unicorn on the town's Newbiggin, Tabi Lee.
"It's a fantastic weekend and the publicans benefit enormously. I thought that, as I do so well from it, it was only right that I should give something back,'' she said.
The gang have been limited to T-shirts with iron-on logos and letters in the past, so spokesman Peter Hill said members were delighted with their smart new look.
"Brightly-coloured shirts allow us to instantly identify people we can call on for help when it is needed, while the public can identify an official if they need assistance. We are very grateful to Tabi and The Unicorn.''
Richmond Meet, which raises money for local causes, is held over the Whitsun Bank Holiday, May 25 to May 28.
There are still free spaces available for charities which would like a stall at the Sunday Show, at Earl's Orchard.
