Crook and District League - A goal from Mark Roe midway through the first-half gave Billy Row a 1-0 lead over Wearhead in the Albert Vickers Cup semi-final.
Further Billy Row pressure saw Jason Bridgewater add a second in the 60th minute. Wearhead pulled a consolation back through Kevin Walker near the end. Billy Row meet Stanhope Town in the final which has been rearranged for Wednesday May 16.
Howden Australian enjoyed the majority of first-half play against Byers Green St Peters and took the lead through Andrew Morgan.
In a rare break, Byers Green equalised through Jamie Wragg and early in the second-half they took the lead through Kevin Dodds.
Paul Davidson equalised for Howden near the end of a scrappy second-half.
The Crook Wanderers against Stanhope Town match was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
The Stanhope Town and Wearhead United clash is of course now rescheduled for Sunderland's Stadium of Light on Monday (kick-off 3pm). Entrance, though free, will be by ticket only. Sunderland are making the directors' box available to the clubs and the sides will take the field to the now familiar Prokofiev classical music used for Pemiership matches.
Weardale schoolchildren will act as ball boys/girls.
It promises to be one end of season game that both sides will really look forward to and cherish.
