TOURISM chiefs are gearing up to offer overseas tourists holidays with real drive.
They are behind a bid to attract German and Dutch classic car and motoring enthusiasts to the Tees Valley for holidays with a motoring theme.
Journalists from both countries have already been shown what the area has to offer and have visited attractions like Teesside Karting near Redcar, Chris Birkbeck's international rally school and Croft Autodrome near Darlington.
A package has been put together between the Tees Valley Tourism Bureau, P&O North Sea Ferries and Isle of Man Travel.
Its launch coincides with the launch of two new ferries into operation on North Sea routes between Rotterdam and Hull.
