RIDERS with no competitions to attend or with training problems are being offered practical help by the British Horse Society.
They are being invited to send in a ten-minute video of either riding or lunging a horse, along with some brief details and an outline of any specific problems.
Within a week, an experienced FBHS or BHSI coach will send back written comments or training suggestions. Anyone preparing for a BHS examination will get feedback specifically on their position and/or riding skills.
Kay Driver, BHS chief executive, said: "This initiative will give riders the opportunity to be advised by a top instructor for a very modest fee."
The service is only for BHS Gold members at an introductory price of £20. The video and a sae should be sent with a cheque payable to Coaching Angels, BHS Training Department, Stoneleigh Deer Park, Kenilworth, Warks CV8 2XZ.
l A stable manager's preparation course is being held at the BHS rescue centre, Oxhill, Warwickshire on July 9 and 10. It will cover veterinary and practical aspects of stable management.
