Tow Law and District League - Hamilton Row Black Horse established themselves as the early league leaders after they won by the odd point at Tow Law Rose and Crown.
The home side had wins from Colin Hayton and Gloria Metcalfe while the Horse went to victory with wind from Steve Wilkie, Derek Graham and John Henderson.
Tow Law New Market B are in second place just a point behind, while Sunniside Comedian lifted themselves into third place, just another point adrift, when they only dropped one point at Billy Row Royal George, who had Mark Stagg as their only winner. The Comedian's winners were Harold Egglestone, Jeff Ridley, Keith race and Chris Cavagin.

Crook League
Ithe top of the table clash in the First Division the leading Crook Royal Sun managed to beat the visiting second placed, Crook Mill House by the odd point. The Sun looked to be racing away to a win when they went 4-1 up through Kenny Smith, John Hunt, Graeme Johnson and Kevin Clark with Brian Harrison making the only reply. However from that point the visitors took over to take the remaining points through John Hutchinson and from Stephen Heyes and Brian Harrison in the doubles.

Ithe only league match played, Howden Australian A recorded a good home win over Willington Burn by three points. The only winner for the visitors was Mark Wright while the Aussie had points from Andrew Heatherington, Steve Ferris, Jimmy Bainbridge and Mark Richardson junior. The Aussie completed a good night by taking the captain's game as well.
