A childcare website has been launched.
The Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership (EYDCP) website will be an essential resource for anyone living in the Sunderland area who needs advice or information about childcare issues. It was launched at a cyber creche in The Bridges shopping centre.
Visitors to the site can see how the city's EYDCP has progressed towards hitting government targets and find information about initiatives already running.
Initiatives featured include The Children's Information Service, which helps parents find childcare, and The Parents' Consultation Group.
Additional information includes how employers can help their staff make the most of the new Childcare Tax Credit and there is also an electronic version of the partnership's newsletter.
Kate Hinchcliffe, Sunderland EYDCP Childcare plan manager, said: "We wanted to give people the chance to visit the website with us rather than just being told to go away and find it."
