A UNIQUE museum will be glowing thanks to a donation from a local company.
The Tom Leonard Mining Museum in Skinningrove has recreated the underground experience that miners would have endured more than 100 years ago.
Candlelight helps the authenticity and supermarket chain Bells Stores have donated more than 1,000 candles to the museum.
Beverley Loughran, from Bells Stores, said: "We like to help out local organisations. Many of our staff have enjoyed visits to this museum in the past, and hopefully this will encourage more to visit in the future."
Kate Brennan, museum marketing manager said: "This part of the museum is one of the areas that visitors are always impressed by, and we are so pleased that with this help we can continue to offer such a unique experience."
The museum is open Monday to Saturday until October from 1pm, last admission 3.45pm, and on Sundays in July and August. For details call (01287) 642877
