SUNDAY racing, evening meetings, summer jumping - after the disrupted winter there is now plenty for the most avid race fan to enjoy.
And today the Oaks, tomorrow the Derby, return to the BBC after a long gap.
We don't have any direct northern interest in the fillies' or colts' classics, but today at Epsom, the 2.35 handicap of just over a mile has several entries from our area.
We take Little Amin (Karl Burke) as the best of our bunch, Dean Mernagh listed as rider.
Tomorrow, the 2.00 has Riberac (Mark Johnston) entered, with champion Kevin Darley booked - this could go close.
In the 4.35, best of "our" entries might be Vita Spericolata (John Wainwright), Richard Quinn the designated pilot, with most to fear from Henry Hall (Nigel Tinkler).
Tip of the weekend, if Chris Thornton runs her, is his stable star Flossy, entered in the 5.10. Winner of the November Handicap for him, the mare should go close if anything like at her best.
There were clues aplenty for these during the week, as all the jockeys booked are on song and the trainers have also been winning around - except Thornton, and he has two recent wins under his belt.
Mark Johnston has had winners all over, but apologies go to him and followers for the error last Friday.
Racing Week was on holiday in deepest Devon and the Wednesday evening information was received before the stewards reversed the position of his runner in the Ripon opener, which went instead to Les Eyre's Creskeld.
Johnston, however, had winners at Ayr, Goodwood and Nottingham.
John Wainwright and Nigel Tinkler ensured a Yorkshire one-two in the feature handicap at Windsor's richest ever meeting, when Beyond The Clouds beat Henry Hall. The two trainers may well provide one and two in the Epsom race today.
Mary Reveley has had an excellent week with winners on the flat and jumping, including an Ayr double for owner-breeder Mr W Ginzel, plus one at Nottingham for owner-breeder Mrs M B Thwaites and a Huntingdon jumps double.
Tim Easterby's Good Girl landed the Hilary Needler in fine style at Beverley's evening meeting, while his Princess Sofie had rewarded support at Pontefract's Sunday meeting.
James Bethell, Mark Johnston and David Nicholls were on the Goodwood scorecard, while Karl Burke won at Ripon and Windsor.
Patrick Haslam also continued form, with young Paul Mulrennan riding for him.
