YOUNGSTERS are celebrating after their school breakfast club was given a financial boost to help it expand.
Tollesby School, in Middlesbrough, is one of 58 schools around the country to be given £2,500 through the breakfast club awards scheme.
The school will receive the cash during Breakfast Club Awards Week, from June 18 to 22.
Chairman of the governing body Ben Laird will present the cheque and award during a school assembly.
Angela Johnstone, one of the breakfast club organisers, said: "This money will make a real difference to our club.
"It will enable us to provide fresh fruit and juice on a regular basis, purchase a much needed freezer for our provisions, and provide a comfortable seating area.
"As entertainment is a priority, music and magazines will be on our shopping list as well."
