A PENSIONER had her handbag snatched in an early evening attack.
The robbery, in Victoria Embankment, Darlington, was the latest in a string of attacks in the town, some of which have left victims injured.
As the 77-year-old woman was walking along Victoria Embankment, towards Victoria Road, shortly before 7.20pm, the thief approached her from behind.
He grabbed her handbag and ran off in the same direction she was walking.
The beige leather bag contained cash, a purse and other personal items.
The attacker is white, 18 to 20-years-old, 5ft 8in to 5ft 10in, and of slim build. He was wearing a light-coloured baseball cap, dark blue jacket and dark- coloured trousers.
