A GROUP of Venture Scouts has won one of the top awards in scouting.
Craig Robson, Emma Thompson, David Barker and Michael Clough, from the 5th Durham Venture Scout Unit, have gained the Queen's Scout Award.
They received their awards at a ceremony at the group's headquarters in Langley Moor, near Durham City.
The four worked together on a weekly basis, carrying out community service and other tasks. They camped in temperatures of minus six centigrade and packed bags in supermarkets.
