ADVANCED imaging company e-comeleon has appointed an image co-ordinator.
SUE TUNNEY will be responsible for monitoring image trends to identify new ideas in pattern, design and art which can be transferred into new products such as mobile phone covers and computer mice.
Sue, from Durham, joins the Stanley company after 18 years as a fashion designer, 13 with Courtaulds textiles and five as a freelance designer. For the past two years she has been lecturing in fashion design at Cleveland College.
Sue said: "I'm delighted to be joining a design-led, forward thinking and progressive business.
"My new role will give me the opportunity to use my skills and experience in a new and exciting marketplace and I am very much looking forward to making a contribution to the company's continued success."
l LOUISE DACK has swapped ten years as a secretary for law firm Crutes for a career in IT at the company. Crutes established its IT department two years ago and Louise joined as helpdesk assistant.
On-the-job training and her enthusiasm for the role has led to her promotion to the position of IT trainer and development officer, where she will be responsible for identifying training needs and training administration across Crutes offices in Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Carlisle.
l KAREN MUIR has taken over as chairman of the Tyne and Wear Society of Chartered Accountants. A business analyst with English Partnerships in Gateshead, she has previously worked as a corporate recovery specialist.
l Arriva Trains has appointed PETER TELFORD as finance director. The 39-year-old was previously group financial controller at Arriva plc, where he managed the financial reporting and transactions for the group at both corporate level and for its bus, rail and motor divisions.
In his new role, he will be responsible for Arrriva Trains' existing rail businesses and bids to operate new rail franchises.
l Law firm Ward Hadaway has made a series of promotions. As a result, seven solicitors from across the firm have been made associates. They are ROBIN ATKIN, KIRSTIN COOK, SIMON ERRINGTON, ANDREW FINFER, SARAH HUXLEY, PETER JUDGE, and CALIRE MALT.
l Reg Vardy has appointed NICK PAGE and ANDY DAVIES to its operational board. Nick, who has been with Reg Vardy for five years, will be responsible for the group's Citroen dealerships, while Andy, who joined the company in 1988, will take over the Fiat/Alfa Romeo division.
l ALAN HUNTER has joined Tees Valley Housing Group as a housing officer for the Eston, South Bank and east Cleveland areas. Alan has a BA (hons) in management from the University of Durham and is to take a postgraduate diploma in housing policy at the University of Northumbria.
