TWO big black teddy bears came to the aid of sick children in County Durham at the weekend.
They were donated to the paediatric ward at Durham University Hospital by the staff of the Orange shop, in Silver Street in the city, who were celebrating the shop's first anniversary.
The workers raffled one of the huge teddies on Saturday and raised nearly £50 for the children.
The other will go to the ward for the children, but will also eventually be raffled.
A spokesman for the telecommunications firm said that the workers wanted to give something back to the community, as part of their anniversary celebrations.
