VOTING patterns in a mock election at a Darlington school reflected those in their area's real constituency battle.
Haughton Community School participated in a mock General Election last Thursday, the day the nation went to the polls.
Year seven, eight and nine pupils had to register in advance to get a polling card, then attend polling stations around the school to cast their votes.
The three main parties were represented by teams of pupils, with one as candidate.
Like Darlington's real Labour MP, the party's representative, Katy McGregor, won with 68 votes.
Conservative Orren Batty received 42 votes, while 32 pupils placed their cross in favour of LibDem Natalie Popple. Seven ballot papers were spoiled
