A CYCLING course for primary school pupils has begun in Darlington.
The On Road Cycle Training course, organised by Darlington Borough Council's road safety officer, Norma Sheppard, is being held at 13 schools in the borough.
The six-week course will provide young cyclists with on-road experience of starting, stopping, overtaking and turning left and right.
It will give children experience of riding on the road with qualified instructors, and help them become safer cyclists. Children taking part in the course will be provided with high visibility jackets. Cycle training signs will be displayed to inform other road users of training in progress
