FLOWER power of an unusual nature has led to a sculptor making a name for himself across the country.
Anthony Sturgess, of Killinghall, near Harrogate, North Yorkshire, was chosen to create six giant daisy sculptures, each standing at about 4ft high, for the ITV Year of Promises initiative.
And the steel flowers, which are engraved with hundreds of promises ranging from pledges to do more charity work to becoming a blood donor, are to be sent to different parts of the country.
The steel flower designs are being sent to locations in Rotherham, Exeter and Norfolk, where local people have agreed to join the ITV campaign.
