AN artist who can draw zany pictures of festival-goers is being sought for Durham's Summer Festival next month.
Durham City Manager Chris Rawlinson hopes to find a caricaturist to work during the four-day event.
"We have found a portrait artist and now we'd like to get someone who can produce caricatures. We want to say to people come and have an unflattering picture done of yourself.
"I am sure it will prove popular with people who don't mind having a laugh at themselves."
The event will run from Thursday to Sunday, July 5-8 and will feature craft displays, stalls selling Northumbrian produce, a re-enactment of an Anglo-Saxon village and a wide range of music, including a Robbie Williams tribute band.
Many city centre shops will open on Sunday for the event.
The event will focus on the Market Place, Palace Green, Town Hall, Framwelgate Bridge and Prince Bishops Shopping Centre.
Any caricaturists interested in taking part can contact Mrs Rawlinson for more details on 0191-301 8860
