SLAPSTICK comedy was the order of the day when bank staff decided to raise cash for their local hospice.
Two members of the management team at Halifax's Darlington branch volunteered for the job of "target" to be hit in the face with custard pies in aid of St Teresa's Hospice.
But while Pete Campbell was eventually selected for the dubious honour on Monday, the other volunteer, Leslie Anne Bolton, was given the job of throwing the pies, along with hospice mascot, Mr Yellow, and Darlington Football Club's Mr Q.
Staff at the branch will be taking part in a Wear Yellow Day, along with other businesses in the town, on Friday, June 29, to raise cash for St Teresa's.
