SPEEDY employment was only a phone call away for Julie Kassim when she contacted recruitment consultancy Contract Commercial Services.

The 21-year-old made the call to the company, which supplies skilled secretarial, clerical and administrative staff, and by the same afternoon she had a full-time administrative position at Business Link County Durham.

Contract invited Julie to its recruitment centre for an interview to sit a specialist administrative aptitude test to help identify her level of ability.

After passing with flying colours she was placed with Business Link, a division of A4E Consulting.

Jeanette Turner, from Business Link County Durham, said: "We had an immediate temporary vacancy in our administrative team that required a quick resolution, so we contacted Contract Commercial Services.

"Without delay they set to work finding someone with the skills we needed, and Julie was the result."

Julie, from Coxhoe, near Durham, has an NVQ level two in business administration and has worked in a wide range of administrative posts since leaving college.

After working at Business Link County Durham for two months, she has been offered a permanent job.

Katy Ameli, recruitment manager at Contract Commercial Services, said: "We aim to find people suitable work as quickly as possible.

"Through our team of consultants and specialist software we can tailor the needs of companies to the skills and aspirations of individuals."
