THE most successful women's football team in the North-East is looking for new black cats to wear the famous red and white stripes.
Sunderland AFC Women wants new players to strengthen their team for next season.
This season they finished seventh in the AXA Women's Premiership after winning promotion in the previous campaign.
Bob Oates, manager of Sunderland's Football in the Community programme, said: "We want to attract the very best players from this region to strengthen our squad. We are ambitious, and players will benefit from being closely associated with one of the most successful clubs in the country."
Sunderland has recently appointed top woman's coach and football development officer Kristina Patterson who has previously coached in the US.
