THREE groups gain from community leisure chest awards agreed yesterday.
Although a report is to be sent to Darlington Borough Council's ratification committee, the council's cabinet agreed the awards for Music For Darlington, the Quakers Running Club and Fifth Darlington Scouts group.
Music For Darlington will receive £200 towards the cost of hiring the Dolphin Centre for a recent Last Night of the Proms event.
The running club's £200 will be used to enable more members to undertake a coaching award, which in turn will help boost the junior section.
The £200 for the Scouts will be used to cover training costs for senior members of the group to become leaders.
