AN unusual combination of organic materials and coloured plastic bags has created a visual feast for visitors to a gallery.
Year eight pupils from Harrogate Grammar School spent a month working with textile artist Sue Lawty at the town's Mercer Gallery.
And the finished product - 24 individual pieces woven together to make one textile - has now gone on display.
As part of the project, the students abandoned traditional weaving methods to experiment with natural and recycled materials.
The gallery's development officer, Sarah Freeman, said: "It's wonderful to be part of a collaboration between a local school and an artist.
"We particularly wanted to work with year eight pupils because they are under-represented in our educational visits. We're very keen to build stronger relations with our local schools and see younger people using the gallery and museum."
