DEPARTMENT-store Uptons has announced another 40 job losses in Teesside.
Workers at Stockton's Castlegate Centre branch have been handed redundancy notices.
Shop workers' union Usdaw is issuing advice packs to Uptons workers and advising them on finding other work.
Last week, it was revealed 40 jobs were going by July 28 at Uptons in Redcar because the branch was closing.
Redcar and Cleveland Council said Uptons had signed up to open a new outlet at the town's Regent Walk shopping complex.
Thirty-four jobs were lost when the Middlesbrough store closed last year and 18 people were made redundant when two branches at Bishop Auckland and ones in Peterlee and Chester-le-Street were shut.
Hilco Trading UK, part of a US-based retailer, bought the Uptons stores at Middlesbrough, Peterlee, Chester-le-Street, Stockton, Redcar, Northallerton, Hartlepool, Bishop Auckland and Scunthorpe in November. But weeks later, the owners said the business was in debt.
