THE organisation behind an area's sports halls and swimming pools has launched a system to gauge what its customers really want.
Tees Valley Leisure, which runs Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's leisure facilities, has introduced a new management information system.
Head receptionist at Eston Sports Academy, Chris Nicholls, said: "The system acts like a computerised booking and integrated information system.
"It allows us to interrogate and identify usage patterns and consumer buying behaviour.
"What that means, is that we can be very accurate about what activities and products are popular and at what times of the day and year, and which are not.
"In future, we will be able to use that information to deliver a service which fits exactly what our customers want."
Mr Nicholls asked customers to be patient until staff are fully trained with the new system.
"We ask all our customers to be a little patient with us in these first few weeks," he said.
