THE Northern Echo's Durham district editorial team is on the move.
The office at 18 Claypath will close today and will reopen further up the street, at Ruth First House, on Monday.
The reporting team for The Northern Echo and Durham Advertiser has been based in the former British Gas showroom since 1994, when it moved from Saddler Street.
Now the building's owner, local businessman Robert Fulton, plans to convert it into a restaurant.
Ruth First House is on the corner of the traffic light junction with Providence Row. Editorial and front counter staff will be based there.
The reception telephone number for advertising, reader holidays and distribution inquiries, available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, is 0191-384 2261 and the fax number (0191-383 1918) stays the same.
There are two new numbers if you have news for our reporters - call 0191-384 4600 or 0191-386 8250. The postcode for the new office is DH1 1XE.
The change does not affect advertising representatives, who will continue to be based at Framwellgate Moor.
